FORGES AND FOUNDRIES — WHERE HYDRAULICS PROVE THEMSELVES

A forge press runs at tonnes of force, thousands of cycles per shift, in an environment of heat, scale and vibration that most hydraulic systems do not tolerate for long. A die-casting machine shoots molten aluminium into a die at 700 bar and 600 shots per hour. A foundry pouring crane must never fail while carrying a ladle of molten iron.

We have built and maintained hydraulic systems for forging presses, die-casting machines, gravity casting lines, sand casting equipment and heat treatment furnaces across the Eastern India foundry belt. Parker heavy-duty components, temperature-resistant seals, and condition monitoring that catches a pump wear problem before it becomes a press failure.

CASTING & FORGE DEMANDS

  • Extreme cyclic duty — 100,000+ press strokes per year
  • Shock loading on forge presses — hydraulic system must absorb peak transients
  • Die-casting: shot pressure to 700 bar, intensification cylinder required
  • High ambient: foundry floor temperatures 40–60°C
  • Scale and metal splash contamination of hydraulic reservoir areas
  • Kanthal heating elements for furnace temperatures to 1,100°C

APPLICATIONS WE COVER

FORGING PRESSES

Main press cylinder HPU, ejector hydraulics, die-lubrication spray systems. Accumulator-assisted systems for rapid pressure delivery on heavy presses.

DIE CASTING

Shot cylinder intensification hydraulics (to 700 bar), core-pull cylinders, die-open/close drives. Parker high-pressure servo valves and proportional control.

GRAVITY & SAND CASTING

Pouring ladle crane hydraulics, mould tilt drives, sand mixer drives, shake-out table hydraulics. Lincoln auto-lube on all rotating equipment.

HEAT TREATMENT

Kanthal resistance heating elements for annealing, hardening and tempering furnaces up to 1,100°C. Atmosphere-controlled furnace instrumentation.

MACHINING & FINISHING

CNC machining centre hydraulic clamping, coolant system filtration, hydraulic press for straightening and sizing. Parker filtration and instrumentation.

FETTLING & SHOT BLAST

Shot-blast machine hydraulic drives, vibratory deburring machine hydraulics, pneumatic chisels and grinders — Parker pneumatic range.
