APPLICATION	Loosening and Tightening of Shunting Bolts in Pots
DETAILS	An Pot in an Aluminium Smelter is the Heart of the Operation. Aluminium is produced from Alumina in the pot Rooms using the electrolysis process. Anodes are clamped at the Top of the Pots and the Lines are assembled with the Help of Shunting Bolts.

LOCATION	Hindalco Industries Limited, Smelter Plant, Hirakud
APPLICATION DETAILS	Total Pots : 780, Total No. of Shunting Bolts : 3120 Bolts, Bolt Size : 32 mm AF, Tightening Torque Required : 2000 NM
PRESENT SOLUTION	Customer is tightening the shunting Bolts manually
CHALLENGES	The Pot room has high amperage DC Current and hence high magnetic field. If bolts are not tightened with right torque, it shall adversely impact the process.Aversion of the existing workers to use pneumatic tools.
SOLUTION	We have suggested the Customer use of CP 0611P RS. We have made Demonstration of the Tool to the Customer. To help workers develop comfort with pneumatic Impact Wrench we are providing workshops.
